Schedule
Must be flexible! Hours and days of the week will vary depending on work load. Drivers are expected to be able to drive at any time including weekends and holidays. Some regular assignments may be available.
Motor Coach Operator
Job Description:
You will be transporting people to and from various locations in the U.S. and Canada. This will include airport transfers to and from local businesses and hotels, and from schools, churches and synagogues. The successful driver candidate must be able to competently operate a 55-56 passenger motor coach and a 27-34 passenger mini-coach.
School Bus Driver
Job Description:
During the school year the most successful candidates will be on a regularly scheduled school route. During the summer months, when school is not in session, there will be field trips and camp runs in school buses or mini-coaches, or motor coaches. The more types of equipment you are able to operate, the more work will be available.
You must be “kid” friendly, must be able to handle any and all issues that come with operating a school bus (fights, argument, parents’ issues, and safety.). Must take trips in between routes if any are available and help with last minute trips and varied duties during busy season.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. from the floor to waist and 25 lbs. from floor to head high.
- Stowing passengers’ luggage.
- Must be good with people and have proper social etiquette.
- Must have a thorough understanding of all Federal regulations as they pertain to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's requirements for trip logs and hours of service.
- Promptly report any bus malfunctions or needed repairs using provided forms.
- Immediately report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations, to the dispatchers on duty, using telephones or mobile two-way radios.
- Check the condition of a vehicle's tires, brakes, windshield wipers, lights, oil, fuel, water, and safety equipment to ensure that everything is in working order, prior to departing for each trip, during the trip (time permitting) and after the trip is complete.
- Comply with traffic regulations at all times in order to operate the vehicle in a safe and courteous, and efficient manner.
- Read maps, and follow written and verbal geographic directions.
- Regulate heating, lighting, and ventilation systems for passenger comfort.
- Keep bus interiors clean for passengers. This includes picking up refuse from seats and floors and depositing it in plastic garbage bags and removing the garbage bags when returning to the depot.
- Maintain knowledge of first-aid procedures.
- Make minor repairs to vehicles.
- Accurately prepare and submit reports and logs that may include the number of passengers or trips, hours worked, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Maintain a current D.O.T. Medical Card at all times.
- Submit to random drug and alcohol screening.
- Must be able to attend regularly scheduled, mandatory Driver meetings and Safety Meetings.

Qualifications:
- Must be at least 25 years of age
- 2 years’ experience driving a motor coach/school bus
- Class A or B CDL with Passenger Endorsement and;
- Must have, or be willing to obtain, a School Bus Endorsement
